China is doing all it can to keep their Programers motivated. In the states places like Google have slides, all day free food, sleep pods, and on site haircuts. What is China trying? Well what about Motivational Cheerleaders. That’s right they are bringing Cheerleaders into the corporate world.

This week’s story follows one of these Motivational Cheerleaders who isn’t a professional cheerleader, but has a Civil Engineering degree. As we get into what we thought was a cute story we learn that this is a more appealing new position.

The positions call for specific height requirements, laugh style, and facial features. These positions are used to help recruit programers to their company as noted by one programer who stated that he was noticing other companies hire Motivational Cheerleaders and then was excited after his company brought one on.

About Language of Bromance

Together Richard and Shawn formed the podcast The Language of Bromance and from there it has been nothing but fun. The duo laugh about things they go through, stories in the news and even getting serious discussing net neutrality along with other issues. Every so often their friendship turns to a bitter rivalry with their nerdiest creation the draft episodes. An original take on a best of or a top 10 list. The draft episodes are done like an NFL Draft 7 rounds where Richard and Shawn flip-flop picks on various topics.
